Dr. Edgar Eduardo Fernandez studied medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) after which he specialized in orthopedics and completed his residency program at Indiana University. Additionally, he also holds a degree in microbiology from the University of Texas. Dr. Fernandez has received many awards and scholarships during education including the National Dean’s list award, Summa Cum Laude Honors at the University of Texas and the William C. Levin Scholarship for Academic Excellence. He is a member of various organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He has been very active in community service and has participated in various activities over the years. His hobbies include soccer, weightlifting and producing music.
